Get Involved

The New Baltimore Conservancy (NBC) is powered by community members who care deeply about protecting the lands, wildlife, and natural beauty of our region. Whether you volunteer your time, become a member, or help support our programs, there are many ways to make a meaningful impact.

Together, we steward more than 300 acres of land in partnership with local organizations and public agencies, including beloved places like Long View Park.

Volunteer

Volunteers are the heart of the Conservancy. By donating your time and energy, you help protect local landscapes while building connections with others who share a love for nature.

Volunteer opportunities include:

• Trail maintenance and land stewardship
• Habitat restoration and invasive species removal
• Native tree and wildflower plantings
• Event support and community outreach
• Environmental education programs

Whether you can give a few hours or participate regularly, your help makes a difference.

Join a Trail Maintenance Day

Trail Maintenance Days are hands-on volunteer events where community members work together to keep our trails safe, accessible, and enjoyable for everyone. Volunteers help clear fallen branches, manage vegetation, repair trail surfaces, and remove invasive plants.

These events are also a great opportunity to learn about land stewardship and meet neighbors who care about protecting the natural spaces we all enjoy.

Attend Community Events

The Conservancy hosts a variety of events throughout the year that bring people outdoors and strengthen our community.

Events may include:

• Guided nature walks
• Educational workshops
• Volunteer stewardship days
• Seasonal community gatherings
• Fundraisers and conservation programs

Our events are designed to inspire people of all ages to connect with the outdoors and learn more about protecting our environment.

Become a Member

Membership is one of the most powerful ways to support the Conservancy. Member contributions help fund land stewardship, trail maintenance, habitat restoration, educational programs, and community events.

By becoming a member, you join a growing network of supporters who care about protecting New Baltimore’s natural heritage.

Support Our Work

Financial contributions help the Conservancy continue its mission of protecting open space, restoring habitats, and providing environmental education for the community.

Donations support:

• Land stewardship and trail maintenance
• Habitat restoration and native plantings
• Youth education and scholarships
• Community events and conservation programs

Every gift helps preserve the landscapes that make New Baltimore and the Hudson Valley so special.

Partner With Us

The Conservancy works closely with local organizations, agencies, and community groups to protect and steward our region’s natural resources. Partnerships help expand conservation efforts and bring more environmental education opportunities to the community.

We collaborate with regional organizations such as Catskill Regional Invasive Species Partnership and Greene County Soil and Water Conservation District.

If your organization or business is interested in partnering with NBC, we would love to hear from you.
