Trail Maintenance

Trail Maintenance Days are an important part of the stewardship work of the New Baltimore Conservancy. Throughout the year, volunteers come together to care for community trails by clearing branches, improving drainage, removing invasive plants, repairing trail surfaces, and maintaining safe access for visitors. These hands-on events help protect the natural landscape while ensuring that places like Hannacroix Creek Preserve, HRIT and Long View Park remain welcoming and accessible for hikers, families, and nature lovers. Trail maintenance days are also a great way for community members to connect with nature, meet neighbors, and play an active role in preserving the lands that make New Baltimore and the Hudson Valley so special.
